How to find good indie games yourself
Discovery is genuinely hard on mobile. The charts favour whoever spends the most on ads, which buries the small stuff we love.
My first move is always to read recent reviews sorted by date, not by helpfulness. Old reviews miss the last three updates, and a game can change a lot.
I also check the developer's other titles. A studio with a track record of small, thoughtful games is a much safer bet than a one-off with a slick trailer.
Finally, trust word of mouth over rankings. A friend saying 'you have to try this' has found me more gems than any curated list ever did.
