Emberfall Legacy
★★★★★ 4.7
Emberfall Legacy is the kind of RPG that respects your commute. Battles are turn-based and quick, but the systems underneath them run deep: you build a party of four, juggle elemental weaknesses, and slowly unlock a skill web that actually rewards planning.
The writing carried me further than I expected. There's a running thread about a village rebuilding after a fire, and the side quests tie back into it instead of feeling like filler. I finished the main story and then kept playing to see how the town changed.
Touch controls can get a little crowded during the busiest fights, but auto-battle handles the trash mobs so you save your focus for the tough ones. For a solo-developed RPG, the polish is remarkable.
What we liked
- Deep party and skill systems
- Story that actually pays off
- Smart auto-battle for grinding
