Neon Drift Club

Neon Drift Club drops the pretence of simulation and goes straight for feel. You steer with tilt or a virtual wheel, and the whole game is tuned around chaining drifts through neon-lit corners to build up boost.

There's a career ladder, weekly ghost challenges, and a handful of unlockable cars that each handle noticeably differently. The tracks are short, which suits a phone, and the sense of speed is genuinely thrilling.

My only gripe is that the later cars can feel twitchy until you learn them. Once it clicks, though, this is one of the most satisfying racers I've played on mobile in a while.
